Applications are due November 20, 2026.

  • African American (Black) or of African descent

  • US Citizenship, permanent resident, or have valid legal residency

  • Graduating high school senior, graduating in December 2026 or at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 school year in May/June

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.

  • Attend a school in the Brazos Valley area (Counties of Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington)

  • Able to provide an official academic transcript

  • Provide an essay addressing how this scholarship and your career goals can uplift the African-American community.

  • 2 letters of recommendation

  • Optional: submit resume or documents(s) showing active participation in community service, volunteer work, or school leadership roles
